Got turned onto your journal via my wife. Several years ago (back in the days of DOS on a 286) I wrote a program that counted all the words in a text file to show so one could do metrics on word usage. She told me you were looking for something similar so I wrote one up. I'll work on the cliche thing too if I can get a plain text file of cliches to work with. The main program is done, but I hope to put a web interface on it because I know some people aren't comfortable working with the command line. I'll drop you a line when the interface is up and running. And if you want to drop me a line with a text full of cliches, so much the better. I'll start working on the cliches application too.
